Our website is named after the Southern constellation Fornax or the mount it houses.
See through a different telescope!
I was about 11 and it was about 1978 when I joined a local branch (Szolnok) of the so called TIT (Society for Popularisation of Science) in Hungary. Later I became a Chemist and only returned to Astronomy in 2000 when my son was 10 years old as I felt I had to share my passion with him.
In 2016 I've finished building our observatory at the back of our garden (near to the coast in South of England)... Photos of the building works, roof construction and mount installation can be found here: http://fornax-observatory.simplesite.com
On our sister site, fornax-observatory.simplesite.com you will find information about the construction of our observatory and some images, but a decision was made that the resulting astro photos should be published here, on this dedicated and more professional looking website. Click here and enjoy!
